Healthcare in the U.S. is a real pill…

Get it? I always get depressed when I hear about the state of healthcare in the U.S. Luckily, I am able to have a job that provides me healthcare coverage and trust me when I say I take full advantage of everything available to me…but this shouldn’t be a privilege. It just makes me cringe to think of all the people who can’t afford basic medical care and most importantly PREVENTATIVE care. Yeah, a lot of people have diabetes, heart disease and cancer but much of that could be avoided with preventative medicine. I really believe that everyone could enjoy the right to free healthcare and/plus, how selfish is it to be selective about it based on income? All my coaches always told me: we are only as strong as our slowest, weakest, lamest player…that applies here like whoa.

40 million people is just way too many, the U.S. needs to be responsible for the health and safety of it’s citizens.
